I Am Traveling with Children – How Can I Book Ferry Tickets for Them?
Many ferry operators offer reduced fares for children. Infants below 3 years of age usually travel free of charge, while children up to 10 years old often travel at half the normal price.
However, specific policies vary by operator:
- Boonsiri Ferries: Children under 5 years old may travel at a discounted rate or free of charge on certain routes.
- Lomprayah: Discounted child fares are available for children under 11 years of age. Infants under 2 years old can travel for free but must sit on an adult’s lap in buses, vans, ferries, or speedboats.
- Seatran Ferry: Child tickets must be purchased at the counter, and the fare depends on the child’s height.
