Are E-Tickets Always Accepted?
In many cases, e-tickets are accepted for travel. To confirm, look for the e-ticket sign on the trip details.
However, some operators require passengers to present their vouchers at check-in to obtain a boarding pass. In other instances, passengers may need to print the voucher and either keep it as a ticket during the journey or exchange it for a paper ticket at the station. The operators determine these rules, and we cannot influence their procedures.
Additionally, some operators may require passengers to present a valid ID before boarding. Acceptable forms of identification include a passport, driver's license, student card, or any other government-issued document. Failure to provide the required ID or discrepancies in the information may result in denied boarding.
Are Free Food, Drinks, Blankets Provided? Are There Stops Along the Way? Is There a Toilet on the Bus?
Amenities vary depending on the operator, especially for long-distance routes. While some operators may provide complimentary items such as food, drinks, or blankets, we cannot guarantee the availability of these amenities for your specific trip.
On longer routes, stops are typically scheduled. Some operators include extended breaks midway through the journey, while others make shorter stops every few hours. Certain operators may even provide free meals at designated restaurants along the way.
Most buses have onboard toilets for passengers' convenience, but it's always a good idea to confirm this detail when booking your ticket.
How are bus tickets delivered?
Bus tickets are not delivered. For more details, please check the boarding procedure in your PDF voucher or e-ticket.
I am traveling with children – how can I book bus tickets for them?
This depends on the bus operator. Generally, infants under 2-3 years old can travel for free if they share a seat with an adult.
If discounts for children are available, you will see an age field during checkout, and the discount will be applied automatically.
I want to know what the seats on the bus look like
Please take a look at the picture on the booking page for an example of the vehicle you can expect for your trip. However, the operator may need to change the bus type due to technical issues. If this happens, kindly take photos and send them to us. We will review the situation and refund the price difference if a different vehicle class is provided.
Will my bus stop during the trip? How many stops will be on the way?
The number and frequency of stops depend on the bus class and route. Some routes may have no stops, while others include rest area visits. On specific routes (such as express buses to/from Suratthani), drivers may pick up and drop off passengers, especially during long weekends or holidays when operators must comply with government regulations. This can lead to delays. Express buses generally stop more often than VIP buses. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the exact number of stops on your trip. For a more comfortable journey, we recommend booking VIP class buses. Please check the trip information for details on each journey. If stop details are available, they will be included in the trip information section.
Will the bus wait for me at a border crossing?
Buses are required to follow their schedules. If delays occur due to issues such as not having a proper visa, losing your passport, taking too long in the restroom, lacking local currency for a visa on arrival, being detained by customs, or any other reason, the bus may leave without you. In such cases, your luggage will be taken to the final destination and held there until you can get it. Please get in touch with the bus company using the phone number provided on your ticket for further assistance.
My bus leaves from Southern Terminal. How do I get there?
Take the Airport Link to Makkasan station from Suvarnabhumi Airport, then transfer to the MRT subway to Hua Lamphong station. From there, you can take a taxi or an air-conditioned bus, number 40, which passes through Wongwian Yai and Charan Sanit Wong Road. The fare is approximately 20-25 baht. However, this route is not recommended due to the longer travel time, but it's an option if you have ample time and want to experience it. Alternatively, you can take the air-conditioned bus number 556 from Suvarnabhumi Airport. It operates from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM and costs around 24-35 baht. If you're staying in the Sukhumvit area, you can take the air-conditioned bus number 511 (orange color) to the Southern Bus Terminal. The fare is around 20 baht, and the bus takes about 45 minutes or more, depending on traffic. Please inform the bus staff to drop you off at the last station. A taxi is the fastest and most convenient option for those staying near Khao San Road.
The aircon is too cold / did not work.
Unfortunately, the air conditioning in Thailand's buses, trains, planes, and cinemas is often set to a very low temperature, which can feel cold. We recommend bringing a blanket or jacket with you for comfort. If the air conditioning stops working, please get in touch with the operator's staff directly, as we won't be able to assist with this issue.
Why is there no WiFi on the bus? English movies?
The majority of passengers in Thailand speak Thai, so the entertainment provided on buses is typically in Thai. Additionally, most buses do not yet have WiFi available.
Do you know if the bus will be on time?
Yes, most probably, it will, unless there are unforeseen complications.
Do you know if my bus will arrive on time?
No, you will most likely arrive ahead of schedule or slightly late. Transit times depend on traffic, weather, the driver's experience, and other variables. We strive to give you accurate times, but we don't promise you will arrive exactly as scheduled.
Do I have to change buses?
The trip you booked is usually on a single vehicle. However, if you have booked two separate journeys with different operators, you may need to change buses and take a taxi to another bus station. This will be indicated when you book your ticket. The transit time shown in the system is based on an average speed of 30 kilometers per hour. If you need to take a taxi, it may take longer during rush hours. We think it's best to study your route in advance. For example, if you buy a bus ticket to Chumphon, the bus will stop there and won't take you to the ferry station. We also offer joint tickets for trips that cover the entire journey.
I have booked a costly cruise ship departing from Thailand. Do you provide a shuttle service?
Yes, we can arrange a luxurious transfer from the airport to Laem Chabang Port for you at a fraction of the price the passenger line would charge.
